Eye Contact
Eye movement, eye contact and eye pattern cues are generally hardwired into the brain. This video is neuro linguistic (NLP) oriented technology designed to help you determine if another person is telling the truth. Eye accessing cues are used by the federal government in interrogations and are considered by many experts to be an extremely useful tool in lie detection.
Steve Jones explains that there are effectively six quadrants for eye movement
Eye Direction
Upper Left
Visual Construct
creating a visual image with imagination
Direct Left
Auditory Construct
this is when a sound is imagined
Lower Left
Kinesthetic Construct
Right side glances
Upper Right
Visual Recall
Direct Right
Auditory Recall
Lower Right
Kinesthetic Recall
Exceptions
It is important to remember that some people are reverse wired, in a similar way that some people are left hand dominant. A few known questions should help calibrate the effect. Similarly a person that is left handed is typically right brain dominant due to opposite wiring effects.
In general most people tend to access their right brain when creating, due to the wiring of the body, the brain controls the reverse side. Thus left oriented looks are tending to access creative and intuitive centers of the mind. Right oriented looks are accessing the stored memories and factual centers in the left brain.
